These terms govern your use of motionist.app and the Motionist waitlist, operated by Anubhav Prabhakar, based in Bengaluru, India. By using the website or signing up for the waitlist, you agree to these terms.

What Motionist is right now

Motionist is a pre-launch product. The website at motionist.app is a waitlist landing page only. There is no product to use yet. Signing up for the waitlist does not guarantee access to the final product, a specific launch date, or any particular feature set.

The waitlist

By submitting your email through the waitlist form, you consent to receiving emails from Motionist including signup confirmation, development progress updates, and launch notifications. You can request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing privacy@motionist.app.

Waitlist benefits

All waitlist members are offered 1 month free access when Motionist launches as a paid product.

These benefits are subject to the following conditions:

  • Benefits apply only when Motionist launches as a paid product
  • Benefits are non-transferable and tied to the email address used to sign up
  • If Motionist does not launch as a paid product, no benefits are owed
  • “1 month free” begins when the waitlist member creates a Motionist account after launch, not from the date of waitlist signup. This benefit must be claimed within 12 months of launch. After 12 months, waitlist data is deleted per our Privacy Policy and unclaimed benefits expire.

Founding member access

Founding member access is a one-time purchase of $29 USD, available to a limited number of buyers (10 spots) via Gumroad. Founding members receive lifetime access to Motionist — every feature shipped, forever, at no additional cost.

Founding member access is subject to the following conditions:

  • The purchase is processed and managed entirely through Gumroad. Gumroad's terms of service and refund policies apply to the transaction.
  • 'Lifetime access' means access to Motionist for as long as the product exists and is actively maintained. It does not guarantee indefinite availability if the product is discontinued.
  • Founding member access is non-transferable and tied to the email address used for purchase.
  • Founding member access is separate from the waitlist. Purchasing founding access does not require or replace a waitlist signup.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the founding member offer at any time, including reducing the number of available spots. Purchases already completed will be honored regardless.

Intellectual property

All content on motionist.app — including text, design, animations, code, and branding — is the property of Anubhav Prabhakar unless otherwise noted. Lottie animations displayed on the site are used under the Lottie Simple License and are credited in the site footer.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the site’s content, design, or code without written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, or disposable email addresses to the waitlist
  • Attempt to sign up multiple times to claim multiple founding or waitlist member spots
  • Interfere with the website’s operation, security, or infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to submit waitlist signups

We reserve the right to remove any waitlist entry that violates these terms without notice.

Disclaimer

Motionist is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or guarantees about the future product’s features, performance, availability, or launch timeline. The waitlist page and all content on it represent our current intentions, not binding commitments.

Pre-launch materials, including screenshots, animations, and feature descriptions on the landing page, represent planned functionality and may differ from the final product.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anubhav Prabhakar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or participation in the waitlist. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on any information provided on the site.

Total liability for any claim related to the waitlist, website, or founding member access shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Motionist.

Third-party services

Motionist uses third-party services to operate the website and waitlist. These include:

  • Vercel (hosting)
  • Google Firebase / Firestore (data storage)
  • Resend (email delivery)
  • Cloudflare (DNS and email routing)
  • Gumroad (founding member payment processing)

Your use of the website is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for their practices or any service interruptions on their part.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website or remaining on the waitlist after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
